Summer, slowly
Inside our first Nice & Slow gathering
This week, our Nice & Slow group gathered for our first seasonal session.
I strongly believe that a virtual room can still have a sense of place, so I built us a digital landscape on the theme of the Mediterranean sea.
Together we reflected on what summer slowness could look like for us and I introduced commonplace journaling (the practice of collecting fragments, quotes, and observations) as an act of noticing. As a way to slow down time rather than rush through it.
Care packages are on their way to members now: journals and a few small mementos to inspire the practice.
Nice & Slow is the paid tier of Freelance for Life. If a slower rhythm sounds like something you need, the door is open for you! Our next gathering is a slow-working session this July. Bring something you've been wanting to work on but haven't been able to make space for.
